Screenshot your status as proofUnderstanding Your Status
When you check your status, you will see one of these labels. Here is exactly what each one means and what action you should take:
Application Submitted
Your application has been received successfully by the portal. No action needed. Verification process has not started yet. Wait 1-2 weeks before checking again.
Under Verification
Your documents and eligibility are being verified by the concerned department. This takes 2-4 weeks. No action needed - do not re-apply.
Application Approved
Congratulations! Your application is approved. Ensure your DBT bank link is active. Payment will be sent to your bank account via DBT in the next payment cycle.
Application Rejected
Your application was declined. Read the rejection reason carefully. If it is fixable (wrong document, wrong bank), you may be able to correct and reapply when the window opens.
How to Check Payment Status
If your application is approved, you can check whether the monthly payment (Rs.3,000 or Rs.2,000) has been sent to your bank account. Use any of these 3 methods:
Yubasathi Portal - Payment History
Login at yubasathi.wb.gov.in > Dashboard > Payment History. Shows date, amount, and transaction reference for each DBT credit.
SMS from Your Bank
When DBT payment is credited, your bank sends an automatic SMS alert to your registered mobile number. Search your messages for "DBT" or "YUVASHAKTI" or "WB GOVT".
Bank Passbook / Mini Statement
Visit your bank branch or ATM to update your passbook or get a mini-statement. The DBT credit will appear with a government reference. Also available via net banking.
PFMS Portal - Know Your Payment
Visit pfms.nic.in > Know Your Payments > Enter bank account and IFSC. Shows all DBT credits from any central or state government scheme.
Common Rejection Reasons
If your status shows "Rejected", check the reason shown on the portal. These are the most common rejection causes and how to address them:
- Age not eligible - Applicant is below 18 or above 45 years
- Already employed - Applicant is in a government or private job with regular income
- Income above limit - Family income exceeds the scheme threshold
- Not a West Bengal resident - Domicile proof not valid or address mismatch
- Missing or unclear documents - Aadhaar, voter card, or income certificate not uploaded properly
- Wrong bank details - Incorrect account number or IFSC entered in application
- DBT not linked - Bank account not seeded with Aadhaar in NPCI
- Duplicate application - Same Aadhaar or mobile number used for multiple applications
What to Do After Approval
If your status shows "Approved", do these three things immediately to ensure your payment reaches you:
Verify Your DBT Link is Active
Go to myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in or the NPCI BASE portal at npci.org.in and verify that your Aadhaar is seeded with your bank. If not done, do it immediately at your home bank branch - payment cannot reach you without this.
Keep Your Bank Account Active
Make sure your bank account is not dormant. Do a small deposit or withdrawal to keep it active. A frozen or dormant account will cause the DBT payment to bounce back.
Check Payment Status Each Month
After approval, check your bank account or yubasathi.wb.gov.in payment history each month around the 5th-10th. If payment is missing despite approval and active DBT link, raise a grievance on the portal immediately.

- Clear browser cache and cookies, then try again
- Check if OTP is arriving - ensure your mobile has signal and the number is active
- If OTP not received, wait 2 minutes and use the "Resend OTP" option
- If your mobile number changed, visit your local BDO office with Aadhaar for help
- Portal maintenance often happens on Sunday evenings - avoid checking then

Frequently Asked Questions
Visit yubasathi.wb.gov.in, click on Login or Track Application, enter your registered mobile number, verify with OTP, and then click Application Status from your dashboard. Your current status will be shown as Submitted, Under Review, Approved, or Rejected.
"Under Review" means your application has been received and is currently being verified by the concerned government department. Your documents, eligibility, bank details, and DBT link are being checked. This process typically takes 2 to 4 weeks. You do not need to do anything - do not re-apply. Keep checking the portal every week.
The most common cause is that your DBT bank link is not active. Check your Aadhaar-bank seeding status at myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in or NPCI BASE portal (npci.org.in). If not seeded, visit your bank branch immediately. Also check if your account is dormant - make a small transaction to reactivate it. If DBT link is fine, raise a grievance on the yubasathi.wb.gov.in portal.
Common rejection reasons include: age not within 18-45 years, already employed in a job, family income above the limit, invalid West Bengal domicile proof, missing or unclear documents, wrong bank account details, DBT not linked, or a duplicate application found for the same Aadhaar. Read the specific reason shown on the portal after login.
If you no longer have access to the mobile number used during application, you cannot login to the portal directly since it uses OTP. In this case, visit your local BDO (Block Development Officer) office or SDO office with your Aadhaar card and original application reference number if available. They can help you update the mobile number or check your status manually.
After submission, the verification process typically takes 4 to 8 weeks depending on the volume of applications and department workload. Applications submitted early in the window are generally processed faster. Avoid re-applying during this period as it may delay your process further.
Currently the official yubasathi.wb.gov.in portal uses mobile number + OTP for login. There is no direct Aadhaar-based lookup feature as of July 2026. Use the mobile number you registered with during application. If you need help, visit your local BDO office with your Aadhaar card.
If your status shows incorrect information or your approved payment is not received, raise a grievance directly on the yubasathi.wb.gov.in portal using the "Grievance" or "Complaint" section after login. You can also contact your local BDO or Gram Panchayat office. Keep all documents and screenshots ready when filing a complaint.
